If you have already registered a domain, you can transfer your domain into my service free of charge. Your remaining registration period will carry over and I’ll let you know when it is up for renewal.

Transferring your. uk domain (.co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk) into my service is an easy process:-

1. Change the IPS TAG of your domain to EXTEND. If you require any assistance with doing this, you’ll have to contact your existing domain registrar – most larger ISPs will allow you to do this via their control panels, but some may charge.
2. Let me know that this has been done and I can complete the switch.

The switch can take up to 48 hours to complete, but often only takes a few minutes. I will email you as soon as the switch has been made with all of the details you need to make use of your new services.

Transferring into my service will mean loosing any emails and hosted files you may have had on your previous registrar’s service so be sure to make a copy of anything you want to keep.

You can also use my hosting service without transferring your domain if you wish, but you will not have access to the full range of features that I offer and I won’t be able to offer you any support for those services which aren’t located on my systems.

1. Start Outlook Express and select the Tools menu. From here select ‘Accounts’
2. In the window that appears press the ‘Add’ button and then select ‘Mail…’
3. Enter your name as you would like it to appear to people who receive emails from you. Then click ‘Next’.
4. Enter the email address that you want to use and that you have setup . Then click ‘Next’.
5. Now you need to enter your incoming and outgoing servers. For the incoming e-mail server type, you should choose IMAP, unless you specifically want POP3. This will keep your email stored on the server so that you can access it from the web interface as well. For the incoming server you should enter mail.’yourdomain.com’ – substituting your own domain name for yourdomain.com. For the outgoing mail server you should enter mail.’yourdomain.com’ as before. Then click Next.
6. To finish you need to enter your username (which is your full email address) and password for your mail account. You can view your username and password in eXtend. Once entered please click Next and then Finish.
7. To allow you to send mail through our mail server you now need to make a small change to the properties of the account. Select ‘Properties’ from the ‘Accounts’ window.You need to click the tick-box that says ‘My server requires authentication’ or ‘This server requires me to log on’ and then click ‘OK’ and ‘Close’:
8. You can now send and receive emails!

Please note that if domains are not transferred over to me, you’ll need to arrange for the renewal of those domains separately with whomever they reside with, and those domains will not enjoy the full range of free services that my domain registration customers obtain by default.

You can however transfer your domain into my system free of charge.
